Today we headed out for our daily walk armed with my new can grabber ( because yes I am that person lol ) and tackled Lochend Road. We ended up with almost a full feed bag ( because I’m pretty sure that’s a standard measurement) of bottles and cans! 😳♻️
It honestly breaks my heart seeing how much rubbish is left behind after the school holidays. We live in such a beautiful part of the world, and I wish everyone respected it the way it deserves.
I’ve decided to set myself a little challenge or maybe a distraction because I sure need many of those right now!
Since I walk every day anyway, sometimes twice or 3 times lately 🫣 I’m going to collect as many eligible bottles and cans as I can along the way. We get to clean up our beautiful home, help the environment, and cash in the containers—a win-win! 💚
My goal? $1,000 worth of containers… that’s 10,000 cans and bottles! 😅
Will I make it by the end of the year? I have absolutely no idea… but I’m excited to find out! I’ll post updates along the way so we can keep track together. ♻️🌱

P.S. While I was having a fish, these gorgeous little fairywrens kept me company. They were so busy and curious—they definitely stole the show today!
