Crazy dogs and deer calls!

Me and my mates Bonnie ( St Bernard) and Tilly ( golden retriever) have been off on a few local mini adventures this week! We climbed the biggest sand dune I’ve ever climbed, it was almost a right angle at the peak and one deep soft sand it required CRAWLING to the top by no means easy beach access the view at the top well worth it! ( I’ll drop a video ⬇️)

if you ever thought to yourself “ man I wish I had sand in every orifice of my body” this walk complete with 2 hypo hairy beasts is definitely highly recommended 😂

funny story - so we are heading up the sand dunes and the dogs are hypo ( it had been 24 hrs since our last walk 😱) I know outrageous! Anyway they are running ahead and play fighting and sand and shit is flying everywhere typical kind of walk only difference is we decided to climb this massive sand dune! This was one I had not conquered before and I needed a big mental health boost so I went for it!
first half…. not to bad ….there is some stairs/chain ladder steps- second half… 90 degree angle, knee deep soft sand, my sweaty self was determined so I started crawling! The dogs though oh my god she wants to play with us!!! Very excitedly and  instantly ran towards me ( them being ahead and running DOWN this sandy cliff face towards me) in the knee deep sand and it starts pouring down on my like a fkn sandstorm at the Sahara filling my eyes, ears, shirt and everything else and I’m yelling at them stop and they are just more excited than ever at this point I figure what the hell!  And flop down fully in the sand laughing 😆 I made it to the top, changed my name to sandy cheeks and took this video  of stunning corringle ! Enjoy 😉

The deer call and more dog chaos

The morass is one of my favorite places to visit, I’m not entirely sure why, it just feels good for your soul! There is a downside that you need to be prepared for though, that is the mud if you take your dogs! Now as always I carry a tarp, water and towels for occasions like this but today was a particularly fun day! They  found a very muddy hole and launched into it before I could say no ! Lol and well …… see for yourself the aftermath ha ha

we also spooked something small in the bushes which let out a startled scream and ran off, my rather uncoordinated chunky retriever decided she would be a hero and give chase, so realistically I thought all chances of seeing what that was are probably gone but I had the sambar deer caller with me so I gave it a shot just incase I got lucky and maybe it didn’t go far! ( dropping a vid ⬇️ of the call)

I remained hopeful for a little while as this was close to the are I called in a big mumma deer a few weeks back, but no such luck. I am not the primary hunter in the family ( that would be my amazing hubby)  and these days I only shoot with the camera, still a bit of fun though :)

cheers
