To grow Kangaroo Apple (Solanum aviculare/laciniatum) from seed, soak fresh seeds for 24 hours, then sow in spring in well-draining soil at 15–25°C. Germination takes 3–6 weeks, with seedlings preferring sunny spots and consistent moisture. These fast-growing shrubs prefer sunny, sheltered, well-draining spots.
